Birte Quitt (45) is the head of “Group Retail Strategy” at the Erste Group Bank. She is responsible for the development of the retail strategy for the entire group, ensuring our position as one of the most successful banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe.

The development and redesign of our retail banking business model for our 7 countries focusses on the development of a new value proposition and optichannel strategy, new business formats, the development and implementation of new branch concepts and the management of group wide projects on strategic priorities.

Quitt has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing Retail Banking strategies and projects as well as managing Retail Banking business lines in different countries. Before the current position, the graduate in business administration was responsible for the Retail Banking division at the Erste Bank Österreich; previous positions include the management of the sales- and segmentmanagement at Commerzbank and the product management at Dresdner Bank.”
