Paolo Barbesino

Head of Multichannel Banking, Emirates NBD (UAE)

Working at the crossroad where business strategy, technology, consumer marketing, and service design get together, Paolo Barbesino coordinates Internet and mobile banking strategy definition and implementation across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), providing guidance and support to local teams as well as harmonizing local projects in 13 countries, including Romania, Russia, and Ukraine. He manages a fairly diverse set of projects, including:

Country specific Internet and mobile banking strategy definition and roadmap;
– Public websites revamping, leveraging interactive tools such as calculators, product wizards, and forms;
– Internet and mobile banking, user centered design providing the basis for improving migration, remote sales, and customer relation;
– PFM and PFP integration into the Internet and mobile banking platform;
– Online sales processes targeting both existing and prospective customers;
– Channel specific concepts and new products development;
– Traffic building strategies:
– Social media strategy, including virtual branch development;

Paolo coaches and mentors local multichannel teams, and contributes to consolidating a sound digital business culture in the organization through different online and offline franchises, including social media.
